FAQs
Please review our frequently asked questions. This is the fastest way to solve most problems.
Are your products suitable for human consumption?
No. All products offered by 808 Research are strictly for research purposes only. They are not intended for use as food additives, drugs, cosmetics, or for any other purposes involving humans or animals.
Do you provide third-party testing results?
Yes. We prioritize transparency and quality. All of our products undergo third-party testing. You can request lab reports to verify the purity, potency, and safety of each product.
Will I receive a order confirmation email after i place an order?
Yes, a confirmation email will be sent immediately to the email address that has been provided by you. If you do not see or receive this email please check your junk or spam folder.
What shipping options do you offer?
We offer fast domestic shipping within the U.S. Orders are processed within 1-2 business days, and tracking information will be provided for every shipment. Delivery times may vary depending on your location.
How is the product packaged?
We send in standard mailer pouches and boxes with no special markings, its just the package with address label.
Can I track my order?
Yes. Once your order has been processed and shipped, you will receive a tracking number via email to monitor your package’s delivery status.
What payment methods do you accept?
We currently accept Zelle, Venmo and CashApp for manual payments. Detailed payment instructions will be provided at checkout. Most bank accounts are capable of Zelle payments.
Can I return or exchange products?
Due to the nature of our products, we do not accept returns or exchanges. However, if you receive a damaged or incorrect item, please contact our support team within 48 hours of delivery for assistance.
Do you ship international?
No, we do not ship or take international orders. We only ship within the United States.
How long does shipping take?
All orders are processed once the payment is received, not when the order was placed. Orders take 1 to 2 business days to process, excluding weekends and holidays. In case of delays due to product unavailability, we will email you with the expected shipping date. Orders typically arrive in 2-5 business days. Please understand that once your order leaves our facility, we can’t ensure precise arrival times due to potential delays beyond our control. Tracking information may take a few days to update.
I received the wrong item / my order arrived damaged / incomplete
To address the issue, kindly email us at support@808research.com with the following information:
- A clear photo of the item/s you received, highlighting the problem.
- A photo of the packaging displaying the tracking number.
- If the issue applies to multiple shipments (more than 1 package), please send separate photos for each, as instructed.
Notifying us about any order issues within 48 hours from the delivery date is essential.
How should I store the products?
Most of our products should be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Some items may require refrigeration or special storage conditions, which will be clearly labeled on the product packaging.
How do I handle research products?
We can provide a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for any product upon request. It is assumed that buyers are trained in hazard risks and safety protocols. If you are not familiar with these procedures, we recommend reviewing OSHA guidelines. You can also refer to the Lab Chemical Safety Summary (LCSS) on the product page for more details.
My product was exposed to extreme high or low temperatures, will it be okay?
Here are some common scenarios:
- Lower than Recommended Temperatures: Products stored at lower temperatures may precipitate, but the rate of chemical degradation remains unaffected.
- Higher than Recommended Temperatures: Prolonged heat exposure (e.g., 115°F) accelerates degradation but only becomes noticeable after months. Short-term exposure should not significantly affect shelf life.
- Cold Storage Products: For products requiring deep freezing (e.g., –20°C), brief exposure to higher temperatures (less than 24 hours) generally won’t impact the product’s integrity.
Proper storage and handling are key to maintaining the potency and stability of our products for long-term research use.
My solution has flakes, precipitation, or is cloudy. Is it okay?
Solution products may crystallize, precipitate, or separate due to exposure to low temperatures, such as during cold transit or accidental freezing. To remedy this, warm the bottle under 50-70°C water for 5-10 minutes, then shake vigorously to re-suspend the contents.
Why does my product look/seem different than last time?
Changes in color, texture, odor, etc and biochemical and pharmacokinetic properties can be explained by differences in polymorphy i.e. the crystal structure of a substance. For example, sand and glass are made of the same molecule (SiO2), but have very different properties.
Several factors influence polymorphy, including the rate of change of temperature, pressure and reactants during synthesis. The study of polymorphy is a critical discipline in its own right, integral to the application of chemistry, including materials science and medicine.
So, if you notice a slight difference between batches of products, polymorphy is most likely the reason.
My peptide has less powder than before?
Peptide integrity and potency remain unaffected regardless of their physical form post-lyophilization, whether as a perfect cake/puck or otherwise altered in appearance. Occasional variations in aesthetic presentation, including size differences due to necessary buffering in larger proteins, are typical and do not compromise product quality.
What form do your peptides arrive in?
Our peptides are supplied in lyophilized powder form to maximize stability and prevent degradation. For best results, store them at below -20°C. Refrigeration at 4°C can preserve them for up to 2 years, and they can tolerate room temperature for 4-6 weeks when shielded from direct sunlight.
Why does my product say "not for human consumption"?
Our products are not approved for medical use and are not intended for treating, preventing, diagnosing, or curing any disease. They are unsafe for human consumption and should only be handled in a controlled laboratory setting by qualified professionals.
Why was I added to the no-sell list (blacklist)?
You may have been added to the no-sell list for reasons such as:
- Suspected intentions of using our products improperly (i.e., not for research).
- Violating our Terms of Use.
- Improper storage or handling of products.
- Repeated failure to follow our guidelines or providing inaccurate information.
- Not following payment instructions correctly.
We sell products that are explicitly sold for laboratory research purposes only. As a company we have an obligation to catch and reject any orders that come from individuals who may use our products outside of their intended purpose. If you have been added to the no-sell list then it is because our management has been given reason to believe that you have intentions of using our products improperly. Once a name has been added to this list it is very rare that it will be removed without extensive due diligence by our staff. As a research supply company this is our obligation under existing regulations and we will fulfill it.
